What is scalp acupuncture
Scalp acupuncture is a
micro-system acupuncture technique which stimulate the points or areas on the
scalp to treating brain related diseases, neurological and psychological
conditions. It is one of the modern acupuncture therapies based on the
traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory, acupuncture needling techniques
combined with neurological knowledge. The practice of needling on the head in acupuncture has a
long history with more than two millenniums. The most rapid development of head
acupuncture was in the 1950′ in China. Much of the clinical practice and
research of the scalp acupuncture was first published in China in early 1970′
and rapidly spread throughout China and worldwide with many developments and
several styles.
